KAJIAN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN KEBENCANAAN BERBASIS HUMANITARIAN LOGISTICS DALAM PENGUATAN MITIGASI BENCANA

Abstract

Pendidikan kebencanaan menjadi isu strategis yang hangat diperbincangkan. Hal ini mengingat negara Indonesia merupakan salah satu daerah rawan bencana. Pendidikan kebencanaan dapat menumbuhkembangkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam penanggulangan bencana. Namun demikian, Shiwaku, et.al (2007), menuliskan kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan banyak siswa yang belum memahami pentingnya mitigasi bencana dalam pra bencana. Penelitian ini fokus mengkaji kurikulum pendidikan kebencanaan berbasis humanitarian logistics dalam penguatan mitigasi bencana.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan sumber-sumber dokumen lainnya. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendidikan kebencanaan telah banyak diberitakan dalam media massa, dimana hal ini menunjukkan sebuah isu yang strategis. Namun demikian, belum banyak kajian ilmiah yang fokus mengaji pendidikan kebencanaan dikaitakan dengan humanitarian logistics. Oleh karena itu, perlu pendalaman kurikulum pendidikan kebencanaan yang diarahkan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam penggunaan peralatan logistik, sampai dengan kegiatan pendistribusian bantuan logistik.
